Sabelt s.p.a., a leading company in the field of car safety, has found that a specific model of the buckles it produces may, in some cases, have a potential production fault. The fault is really very minor and there have been no reports nor have any accidents occurred.
However, because the fault may be found in one type of buckle used in child travel systems, we believe it is important to inform you of the problem.
The buckle’s fault may, in an accident, reduce the buckle’s ability to work. The problem affects a number of producers of safety travel systems for children.
Peg Perego have carried out an extensive inspection and control campaign in various countries around the world.
Among our products, the ones that could be affected are:
Peg Perego TRIFIX K car seat (Group 0+),
Peg Perego CULLA AUTO travelcot (Group 0),
Peg Perego YOUNG AUTO travelcot (Group 0),
Peg Perego MARTINELLI AUTO travelcot (Group 0),
Peg Perego Universal Kit Auto (Group 0).
If you own and use one of the above mentioned products, please follow the procedure explained on www.safety.pegperego.com to check if your product is included in the safety campaign. Before beginning, we recommend you have the product close by because you will be asked to check and enter some control numbers written on the product itself.
If you are about to buy one of the above mentioned products, asked your retailer to check if there is a green stamp on the product packaging.
The stamp guarantees that Peg Perego has already checked the item directly during the production process and considered it safe to use and therefore to sell.
You can never take too may precautions when the safety of your child is at risk.
We would like to thank you for cooperating and to apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused.
