We believe all children should have a tricycle, as we have already explained. The tricycle is a toy that helps children to grow, and all the more so in summer when they can ride about freely.
Among the newest products in our 2012 collection, we at Peg Perego are delighted to present Trillo, the new multicolored tricycle, also available in pink for Girls.
Trillo is a fun, colorful tricycle packed with accessories, fitted with a safety belt, a footrest, a bell and a rear basket for stowing your child’s favorite toys. The basket will please children, who can use it not only to carry their ball or favorite doll, but also to create outdoor games such as collecting wood, stones, leaves and carry them with satisfaction to their destination (most likely to mom!). The basket can even be detached from the frame and carried by a handy handle. In other words, it’s like having a bucket always at hand.
And of course, we have also thought about the parents: Trillo has an adjustable handle that allows them to guide the tricycle and child without effort, without having to lean over or “leap forward” when the child pedals more vigorously, in the vicinity – I need hardly say it – of intersections or dangerous corners.
The handle allows parents to accompany the child safely during their first cycling experiences, leaving them enough space to maneuver but enabling the parent to keep the situation under control. Furthermore, if the child so wishes, the adult can simply push and direct the tricycle without the child having to pedal, just like a stroller.
Then, when the child is older and more confident, he can continue to use Trillo on his own, as the handle can be removed in a single easy step. This means you can pick and choose how to use the tricycle, for example pushing Trillo by the handle along the road, and then removing it once you get to the playground.
The handle can be adjusted in height to 4 different positions.
The wheels come with rubber tires, so that the tricycle can be used quietly even indoors, without the risk of slipping or damaging delicate floor surfaces. The front wheel is equipped with a freewheel for added safety and convenience: when Trillo is pushed by an adult, the freewheel blocks the pedals, even while the wheels are turning. Moreover, the freewheel allows the child to pedal forwards or backwards without interfering with the movement and speed of the wheel, which are dictated by the adult’s pushing.
Trillo is recommended from the age of 2. The 3-point harness restrains the child without restricting movement.
Furthermore, if the child cannot reach the pedals, he can use the central footrest.
Trillo is the perfect playmate for your child’s quest to discover the world. Are you ready to go?
