The aim of the MammaCheBlog – Social Family Day event is to give the chance to meet, share experiences and learn more to moms who have made their presence on the Web an added value to their lives. Be it e-commerce, associations, e-magazines or blogs, the common thread binding these beautiful women is without doubt the Web. Every year they come to meet in person, kiss on the cheek and talk about online threads looking at each other in the eye.

The program includes workshops, round tables, awards and hundreds of opportunities for families to spend time together and have fun. Dads and children are welcome to the Social Family Day event and they can enjoy a program planned specially for them.

This year a shuttle bus service was organized - #merivaflexmom. How can you adequately shuttle over two hundred blogger moms and their children?
With our car seats, of course! To ensure safety, a comfortable ride and all the quality of Made in PegPerego products.

The chassis is our fantastic Book Plus. The car seat is the multi-award winning Primo Viagio SL. The carrycot and the seat are completely new innovations.

After the success of our Book Plus Modular, here is the very latest Book PopUp, an innovative and practical solution that perfectly fits our quality and service philosophy.

At the “base” is the Book Plus chassis of our fantastic Book Plus Modular, the system launched a year ago that has won the praise of the many families that have chosen it.

The innovation is all in the small carrycot and the seat, a real “surprise” when unfolding and folding. The strong point, in fact, is all in the compactness of the elements that when folded really take up very little space. The chassis can also be folded without having to remove the components, without having to remove the carrycot before storing.

Have you ever seen such a compact carrycot once folded? A real revolution for the new mum's daily life! The seat offers the same degree of practicality, ergonomics and quality. It is folded with the chassis and it takes up the same space whether facing the mother or straight ahead. It also offers a unique level of comfort thanks to the ergonomic sitting created with the clever use of soft material that follows and exalts the shape of the structure. The child maintains correct posture and the pushchair is much more compact when folded.

The new Book PopUp is yet another step forward in meeting the needs of Italian families. Attention is also paid to the fabric, quality, appearance and variety, with no less than seven new colors to keep everyone happy. It is really difficult to choose between the different products that combine classic and minimalist style with attractive and modern colors.

The Book PopUp system also includes the multi-award winning Primo Viaggio SL, available in the range of fabrics that characterize this innovative series. A special mini-site and catalogue are available for all the latest on the Book PopUp.

In this first week of October, the new Book PopUp will be presented to agents and retailers at the Open Doors event, created for employees. Have a guess? The word on the street is that there “infiltrator” from the Net will be present… Perhaps, umm, one of our mamma bloggers?

Keep following to find out more. If you happen to live in Milan, Book PopUp will make its official debut at Bimbinfiera on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October. Come along and discover it for yourself!

As we mentioned earlier in the year, we worked hard in the past few months to present the new car seat designed for babies from birth up to a year (or 13 kg). The new Primo Viaggio SL has finally arrived.

One of the main features of the Primo Viaggio SL car seat is the new integrated head-hugger, designed to reduce the forces acting on the head and neck of children in the case of a side impact.

Primo Viaggio SL is easy to use thanks to the 3-point safety belt with soft protection pads. The anatomic cushion for newborns makes it even more comfortable.

The Adjustable Side Impact Protection can be adjusted in 5 positions to ensure maximum safety for your child in any growth stage.

The handle and hood can be adjusted in more than one position. The hood ensures protection against sun rays (UV PROTECTION UPF 50+).

Primo Viaggio SL has Ganciomatic, the simple attachment system for Peg Perego strollers and chassis and for transport in cars.

Primo Viaggio SL has a double certification and can be fitted in your car in three ways:

1. with the car’s 3-point safety belt

2. Belted Base (sold separately)

3. Isofix Base 0+ 1 K (sold separately).

Available in two fabrics, Perla and Agata, Primo Viaggio SL is the car seat that fits on the new Book Plus Modular 500. The size and weight are listed in the table below.

Innovation and tradition, versatility and safety – this is the perfect description for Primo Viaggio SL. Have a safe journey!

We are very, very proud to share with you the excellent results our latest ‘child’ has already achieved.

Primo Viaggio SL is our new Group 0+ (from 0 to 13 Kg) car seat, suitable from birth to about one year. As you can imagine, putting a new car seat on the market is a complex process because the seat must satisfy many requirements to obtain certification.

If this were not enough, Peg Perego sends its products to the institutes that deal with car seat ratings. These institutes assign the “final” rating, which is often what consumers check when they are thinking of buying a product.

As we told you last year, these highly structured tests with high standards are designed to reward excellence. This is the reason we are so pleased with the results obtained by our new Primo Viaggio SL.

Here is a translation of the article on the official Swiss web site: “In the 2013 TCS tests on car seats, 25 products were assessed and subjected to 150 collision tests and 1,000 individual tests. The subjects of the tests were safety during accidents, manageability, ergonomics, practical aspects and the presence of any toxic substances. Ten products were “strongly recommended” and, for the first time, two were given excellent ratings.

(…) For the first time in 45 years of tests, two car seats obtained the top rating (5 stars). The Peg-Pérego Primo Viaggio SL car seat for newborn babies (which, until June, was sold only in Italy), is easy to use thanks to the Isofix base in the car and offers excellent protection in the case of accidents”.

Yes, you’ve understood that properly! Our Primo Viaggio SL car seat, which until June was available only in Italy, has already set a record by achieving top 5-star rating, a rating that had never been assigned before. You can read the full article on the TCS website or (in German) on the Adac and Oamtc web sites.

Below is an extract from the table published on the Adac web site.

Do you remember that, for car seats, the rating is a score ranging from 0.6 to 5.5, with the lowest score being the best? In our case, the 1.5 you can see corresponds to Sehr Gut. Many German web sites and papers (Focus, Bild, DerSpiegel) have already published this piece of news and the press clippings cannot but increase, partly because space is always reserved for news that is in the customers’ interest.

And here is the badge that will decorate our Primo Viaggio SL car seats, with a summary of the achieved results and the obtained awards. As we told you in our post on car seat ratings, the above mentioned tests are different and assess different properties. The results are also expressed in different ways (star rating, score etc). What we can say is that we passed all the results with flying colors and this badge proves it.

Let’s toast to this result!

The hoods of our new car seats have UV Protection UPF 50+.

This information is included in the list of product features but is sometimes overlooked. This is why we want to underline the importance of a detail that makes all the difference.

Our brand-new Primo Viaggio SL car seat has already obtained prestigious awards even though it was launched a very short while ago. It obtained the highest rating (5 stars) as best product in its category in the June 2013 safety crash tests performed by ADAC, TCS , Stiftung Warentest, OAMTC. Rightly enough, we are very proud.

Our Primo Viaggio SL has an additional new feature that we are very keen to introduce - the sun hood made with fabric that ensures the highest protection against sun rays.

Every mother knows how important it is to protect children (and especially very young children) from direct sun rays, which is why hoods, canopies and sunshades are used so much. Now, with our new Primo Viaggio SL, the car seat-sun problem is solved thanks to the hood that has UV protection.

What does UV stand for?
It stands for “ultraviolet rays”, which are rays in the solar spectrum invisible to the naked eye and damaging for the skin. Children must be protected against exposure to UV rays.

What does UPF stand for?
It stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor, the protection factor used in fabric and clothes. It is not the same as that used in sun care products (which
have a SPF value) but the concept is the same.

What does 50+ represent?
In the UPF scale for clothes (and fabrics) the lowest value is 15 (good) and the highest is 50+ (excellent).
In our case, we made our car seat hoods with fabric that guarantees excellent UPF protection.

A UPF 50+ sun hood does not, however, mean you can stop behaving sensibly when it comes to exposing your child to sunlight - it is just added protection and safety. It’s obviously worth it, isn’t it?
