Versatile, fun, unisex, trendy: denim is the star attraction of our 2012 collection!

As we have already mentioned, the 2012 Peg Perego collection "wears" denim, the contemporary fabric par excellence and a tribute to all women who fulfill their multiple roles of working woman, wife and mother with ease.
Have you already seen one of our beautiful denim models? They sure stand out from the other styles. But some of their distinguishing features have raised a few questions, which we have gathered here on our blog and on our Facebook page.

In particular, people often wonder whether denim is a delicate lining that is more difficult to clean and less waterproof than others.
Before a fabric can be used by Peg Perego, it must meet a set of requirements, i.e. the Fabric Approval Specifications defined in the UNI EN 24920 or ISO4920 standard. One of the mandatory requirements is a water-repellent treatment, as a result of which all the fabric used on our strollers and prams is certified degree of repellency to water and other liquids. This treatment also offers protection against stains such as fruit juice, tea, slush and ice cream.

This stainproofing and waterproofing treatment is therefore a fundamental requirement for all Peg Perego linings.
Of course, they remain fabrics, and there is no such thing as a fabric that does not suffer wear and tear or does not get dirty with time. Think of it as a piece of clothing. It is up to the common sense of the mother or whoever uses the stroller to use the rain canopy or act quickly in the case of stains: basically to take good care of the product.

Our Denim fabric is 75 percent cotton, which gives it a soft look and feel. However, the fabric performance is comparable to that of other 100% polyester fabrics used by Peg Perego on other products.
One thing that must be said about denim, and indeed about all fabrics with a high percentage of cotton, is that with time and exposure to light, the color may change more than on a polyester lined product. But this, we all know, is the beauty of jeans which, let's not forget, are made of a natural fiber, denim, with all the advantages this brings.

Glamorous, timeless, natural: could you ask for more?
