				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As we have explained the Martindale test measures the resistance of fabric in terms of color, the formation of pilling and breakage. However, the Martindale test is based on continuous dry abrasion. What happens if the fabric is wet?</p>
<p>A further test measures the effect of abrasion on fabric that is expressly wet.<br />
