One of the new features which has proved to be greatly appreciated is the presentation of our products (from both the baby equipment and the toy sections).
The new sheets provide lots of details on the products, including features, pictures, technical specifications and compatibility.
Searching is more effective to help you choose - you can, for example, search for our products according to color.

There is room for the blog as well, of course.

Reading her various posts we learnt that Lucia has chosen our made in PegPerego to help her little girl discover the world. So we contacted her to ask her what criteria had led her to choose our products. This is what she answered.

"When we started looking at travel systems we were searching for one with a good bassinet as we did not have a cradle. As we won’t need this for long (the baby will probably start sleeping in a cot after a couple of months), we are planning on Adele sleeping in the pram.

We needed a system that provides us with a base on which to fix the bassinet at home because we don’t want to keep it on the floor. We were particularly lucky because at the time we booked the travel system there was an ongoing promotion. We were given the cradle kit for free (stand, mattress and anti-suffocation pillow), although we would have bought it anyway.

What's more, I wanted a stroller that could be both forward facing and rear facing. I may never use it in the rear-facing position, but you never know and we didn't want to buy two separate products.

We hope Adele will not be our only daughter, so we chose a high-quality system because it will have to be used for more than one child, and Peg Perego seemed to offer a guarantee of high quality.

Lastly, when it came to the chassis (umbrella-fold or book-fold), we chose the book-fold one because the opening/closing system is really simple and intuitive. When I think of myself steering the stroller and carrying Adele in my arms at the same time, I am convinced the single handlebar is the best solution."

As you can see, Lucia has very clear ideas about what she needs and we are very proud she has chosen our Book Plus Sportivo and Modular, as she explains in a dedicated post.

Adele's little bed is ready and we will keep up-to-date on Lucia's blog... Who knows, at some point she may want to talk about how things went with our modular set. Naturally, we hope she will be satisfied

Let us look at our 1993 fabrics catalogue.

Most fabrics have cheerful patterns, with flowers, little animals, stripes, abstract drawings. There may be no accounting for taste, and we can certainly say that these fabrics - which were very popular at the time - are very different from the bright, single-color fabrics that parents prefer today. After all, twenty years have passed!

One thing we do have to say - even back in 1993 our fabrics were treated to make them waterproof and anti-stain. It’s obviously worth it, isn’t it?

Here are the reasons for the prize we were awarded this year.

Peg Perego, for excelling in the field of  product research and design, for the Siesta Highchair.
Siesta is a multi-functional, super-compact high chair that grows with the  child - it is a comfortable recliner in the first few months, then it becomes a highchair for meals and playtime once the baby is six months old. The tray is removable, so Siesta can be used to seat the child at the table with the rest of the family. 

 As you can imagine, we are extremely satisfied with this award that acknowledges the efforts we constantly put in the creation of functional, safe and high quality products.  Thanks to Beberoyal and to all the people who supported our work!

The car seat was already called Primo Viaggio but it was only the first of a long line. It matched bassinets and strollers and attached onto a base that was fixed onto the seat in the car.

Piumotta was the pram suitable for even the coldest winters thanks to Saccopiuma, the practical "stroller bag" made of a blanket and mattress kept together by a zip.

Pramette was one of our first integrated systems. This picture shows it as part of the pram.

Are ten years a lot or a few? For some kinds of products, ten years are an era - just think about changes in car safety regulations, which obviously affected all our car seats. Changes in style and design are the most obvious in other kinds of products. We always strived to manufacture practical, easy-to-use items.

It is touching to look back and find the “origins” of ideas, products and functions we still use today…
Something tells us that it won't be the last time we “jump back into the past”

The memorial shows some of the significant moments in the history of our company and in the life of Giuseppe Perego. The founding father is seen working on a draftsman's table, facing away. There are workers in the production plant and two historical images - a pram going up stairs and the first toy car. From now on all our visitors will be welcomed by this panel as they enter and will be reminded of our history of success and commitment.

The contemporary design is studied to offer a pram suitable for all seasons and situations. The sun canopy and cover are made of two parts, so once the external covering is removed you have a set of much lighter sun canopy and cover. They are suitable for hot days or when you use Culla. in the house (it has four small retractable feet).  The "light" version of cover has a pocket that contains a mosquito net, to protect the baby against insects and dust.
The padding is in Softerm, a patented hygienic, non-allergic, antistatic and anti-mould material that absorbs minimal humidity. It can be hand-washed at 30°C. The picture below is the Naked version of Culla. - a fresh, natural "nest" that protects your little one even on the hottest days.

The chassis is available in two models. Both are very easy to maneuver, thanks to the single, height-adjustable handlebar, spring shock-absorbers and the pedal brake on the back wheels. Here is a specially made video in which Culla's features are clearly explained.

One of the tests that our products are subjected to in the Testing Dept. - a test demanded by current regulations - is in fact the step test.

The stroller is “loaded” with a weight that equals that of a child, and an additional weight in the basket, and is subjected no less than 30,0000 alternative lifting cycles for the front and rear wheels by machine.

Like all other machines, it has a notice explaining how it works and the properties checked during this test.

The product - in this case a stroller – is "loaded” with weights corresponding to the passenger (15 kg) and a bag (5 kg) in the carrier basket and then put on the modified conveyor belt with obstacles. After about 38,000 cycles, members of the staff check the stroller is not broken in any way and no part has come loose after the long run and stress.
