Lucia is a blogger and a journalist who lives in Cesena and has been "waiting" for her daughter to arrive since February. Yes, you counted right - Adele is due any day now
We met Lucia through the net and learnt about her blog, MammaACesena, in which she talks about her pregnancy adventure and - soon enough - about motherhood.

Reading her various posts we learnt that Lucia has chosen our made in PegPerego to help her little girl discover the world. So we contacted her to ask her what criteria had led her to choose our products. This is what she answered.

"When we started looking at travel systems we were searching for one with a good bassinet as we did not have a cradle. As we won’t need this for long (the baby will probably start sleeping in a cot after a couple of months), we are planning on Adele sleeping in the pram.

We needed a system that provides us with a base on which to fix the bassinet at home because we don’t want to keep it on the floor. We were particularly lucky because at the time we booked the travel system there was an ongoing promotion. We were given the cradle kit for free (stand, mattress and anti-suffocation pillow), although we would have bought it anyway.

What's more, I wanted a stroller that could be both forward facing and rear facing. I may never use it in the rear-facing position, but you never know and we didn't want to buy two separate products.

We hope Adele will not be our only daughter, so we chose a high-quality system because it will have to be used for more than one child, and Peg Perego seemed to offer a guarantee of high quality.

Lastly, when it came to the chassis (umbrella-fold or book-fold), we chose the book-fold one because the opening/closing system is really simple and intuitive. When I think of myself steering the stroller and carrying Adele in my arms at the same time, I am convinced the single handlebar is the best solution."

As you can see, Lucia has very clear ideas about what she needs and we are very proud she has chosen our Book Plus Sportivo and Modular, as she explains in a dedicated post.

Adele's little bed is ready and we will keep up-to-date on Lucia's blog... Who knows, at some point she may want to talk about how things went with our modular set. Naturally, we hope she will be satisfied

PS: the photos are – of course – Lucia’s

Her blog, At Clara’s house, is exactly what it appears to be - a privileged window on Clara’s world, a world tended and loved like a garden. You will be welcomed by one of those sentences that everybody should remember “Sow and have faith, every seed will enrich a little corner of the earth.” Clara, through her blog, sows in the Internet as well, with stories, feelings and reminders of unmissable events (especially, but not only, in Milan). Let her inspire you and experience her travels - she is part Girl Guide, part archaeologist and it will definitely be worth it…

Do not underestimate your strength, of course. You won’t be able to do everything (or even most of the things) you had planned to do. So accept your limits and let other people do things for you. Rest frequently, sleep and too bad if the house is untidy (was it ever tidy before?). Do not underestimate yourself either. You are strong – you always have been – and you will be in this delicate phase of your life. You will be tired and you will feel as if the sky is falling on your head (by Toutatis!), but this is your life and your children. You are the one who decides. Do not let anybody influence your decisions; do not be afraid to “offend" people. Too bad if this happens! You only live once and every moment with your child is unique. Try to act and think as independently as possible, disregarding everything and everybody. Let other people help you but make sure they do not interfere with your decisions. Your husband’s or partner’s support will be crucial in this sense (he must not go against you).

Do not overestimate other people’s advice. Don’t take any notice of people who say “I did this, I did that, when I had a baby…” Don’t listen to people with perfect children who eat, sleep, keep quiet and behave well. Children will be children and newborns (let alone toddlers and older children) are tiring for everybody. Be suspicious of people who are not struggling!!! Don’t bother and go your own way. Share your feelings and moments with your close girlfriends and husband/partner.

If you need help, ask for it and don’t be afraid to do so. If you really need more help, ask a Doula, an experienced woman who offers (non-clinical) emotional and practical support before, during and after childbirth and who acts as an experienced friend. I did not have the chance to hire one, but I am personally acquainted with a few doulas and if I were born again I would surely ask them to help me. Involve your husband or the baby's father to share moments and tiring tasks. Everything will make sense - this is how you build a family. One day, in the future, you will be laughing about the days when your children when drooling babies!!

You won’t manage without thinking about how fragile your child is and about what your life together will be like. You will realize you are responsible for the growth of another person and, even if this scares you a little, it is the most beautiful and deeply involving experience of your life!

My motto for when you are desperate: Icandoit Icandoit Icandoit!!!!

Annalisa has made balancing motherhood and work a style of life: here are her precious tips!

Having graduated in Communication Studies, Annalisa subsequently worked in Marketing for an American company and then in Public Relations, before turning to the budding domain of web marketing, managing the Client portfolio of an Italian agency. Following the birth of her son Morgan in 2010, she decided to invest her energies, experience and skills in a project, Talent Donna, aimed at promoting the professional talent of women through the Net. This absolutely new concept has taken hold and is a source of great satisfaction to her. A satisfaction that Annalisa intends to augment in the future, through new commitments and formats “for women”, and not only…

1. Do not underestimate: The passage of time, which, once passed, never returns. I have no regrets about my life with my son (who's almost 4). With him, I have tried to do all I wanted and all I thought would be of help. When I look back, I am truly pleased with what I've done. I am happy not to have to say “if I'd had more time….”

2. Do not overestimate: Maternity books. They are excellent to dip into, but in this field there are no hard and fast rules. No. Every mother must fine tune this special art on her own; seeking out different opinions, certainly, but then choosing her own way based on what she feels is right. It's always better to make your own mistakes than someone else's.

3. If you need help: Ask for it. This has always been my weak point. I've always been afraid of bothering people, and as a result I've made mistakes (for example while breast feeding) that I am sure I could have avoided if I'd asked for help. Choose someone you can rely on with regard to the particular help you need, and trust in that person.

4. You won’t manage without: A fantastic mei tai baby sling. It's the only thing I haven't tried and that I would like to use even now that my son weighs 3 stone.

5. My motto for moments of desperation: How the hell did my granny manage with 10 children? If she made it, I have no excuse.

Finally the young Mikaylee is ready for solids. And guess what high chair her mom Courtney, the famous American blogger, chose for her?

Courtney is the author of Courtney’s Sweets, a blog recounting her daily toils as wife and mother, her passion for recipes, the products she chooses and her enthusiasm for life.
Having described her pregnancy experience day after day, she then decided to continue relating the minor and major moments she shares with her daughter, Mikaylee. And guess what? It's finally solids time, and we are very flattered that Courtney has chosen one of our Siesta high chairs.

In her review of our Siesta, you can read all the things she appreciates about our product. Her comments are very well accepted, especially because, as you know, meeting mothers' needs is one of our top priorities.

In particular, Courtney appreciates the fact that our multifunctional high chair can be
used from birth, as well as its simple and compact fold. Our stop&go function is
particularly to her liking, as it enables the Siesta to be moved from room to room with ease.

Another cool element is the foot rest, which can be adjusted to 3 positions - an added
safety feature for tiny tots.

Courtney's review is really great, and we invite you all to read it.

And don't worry: if you're too busy admiring little Mikaylee to see the chair, we'll
understand

She's one of the most influential mommy blogger of America, and guess what? She's talking about us!

If you don't make a habit of hopping from one mommyblog to the next, you may not know her, but Heather B. Armstrong is a power to reckon with across the ocean. Heather has become a professional blogger, and her blog was reported on Time.com as one of the five essential blogs to read in 2011.

Having arrived in Los Angeles after graduating, Heather began working as a web designer and launched her blog, Dooce, as a hobby in 2001. But life, as we all know, has a way of changing, and soon the adventures of a single woman became the journal of a new mom.
The blog, which became a source of income for Heather when she lost her job, also served as a relief valve that sustained her during her postpartum depression.

Then, in 2005, the blog achieved such an astounding success that even her husband was able to resign from his job and "climb aboard" of this adventure that allows them to work from home and be close to their children and their dogs on a daily basis.

Included on Forbes' Top 100 websites for Women and on Babble's list of top 50 mompreneurs, Heather - crowned by the New York Times as the Queen of the Mommy Bloggers - has become very influential, authoritative and widely read. This is why our American team was flattered and delighted when they spotted one of our high chairs in a photo published on her blog.

The photo accompanies a post dedicated to one of the thousand questions of motherhood, namely: the appropriate age to leave the high chair. In recounting her experience, Heather confides that "that chair is really easy to clean up". Yes, that's what we always say, but what a satisfaction to have earned the respect of the Queen of the Mommy Bloggers of America! Let us gloat a little, as we shout out an excited T-H-A-N-K-S, hoping it reaches as
far as Utah... Thanks Heather!

PS: The photo is taken from the post that has made us so happy and that you can find on Dooce.com
