The idea is that of capturing the urban adventures of a mother and her child through photos in the city, at historical monuments, in landscapes. It stars the stroller, which accompanies them from place to place. Guess what? The stroller is our Book Pop Up, so as you can imagine, we find Anna's project to be simply f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c!

When you become a parent, more often than not you are able to put together a few things you intend to do as soon as you have some free time.
This often takes place in the first few weeks, rather than in the first moments of the first day of the new year.

Parenting is a challenge and commitment, but also emotionally rewarding and satisfying. We really like this image that Olesya shared on Instagram because it expresses a beautiful intention to take into 2015.

Especially if your baby is resting quietly on our Tatamia that - as you can see - is perfect for covering baby in kisses when in bouncer mode.

Yes, you counted right - Adele is due any day now :-)
We met Lucia through the net and learnt about her blog, MammaACesena, in which she talks about her pregnancy adventure and - soon enough - about motherhood.

Reading her various posts we learnt that Lucia has chosen our made in PegPerego to help her little girl discover the world. So we contacted her to ask her what criteria had led her to choose our products. This is what she answered.

"When we started looking at travel systems we were searching for one with a good bassinet as we did not have a cradle. As we won’t need this for long (the baby will probably start sleeping in a cot after a couple of months), we are planning on Adele sleeping in the pram.

We needed a system that provides us with a base on which to fix the bassinet at home because we don’t want to keep it on the floor. We were particularly lucky because at the time we booked the travel system there was an ongoing promotion. We were given the cradle kit for free (stand, mattress and anti-suffocation pillow), although we would have bought it anyway.

What's more, I wanted a stroller that could be both forward facing and rear facing. I may never use it in the rear-facing position, but you never know and we didn't want to buy two separate products.

We hope Adele will not be our only daughter, so we chose a high-quality system because it will have to be used for more than one child, and Peg Perego seemed to offer a guarantee of high quality.

Lastly, when it came to the chassis (umbrella-fold or book-fold), we chose the book-fold one because the opening/closing system is really simple and intuitive. When I think of myself steering the stroller and carrying Adele in my arms at the same time, I am convinced the single handlebar is the best solution."

As you can see, Lucia has very clear ideas about what she needs and we are very proud she has chosen our Book Plus Sportivo and Modular, as she explains in a dedicated post.

Adele's little bed is ready and we will keep up-to-date on Lucia's blog... Who knows, at some point she may want to talk about how things went with our modular set. Naturally, we hope she will be satisfied :)

Her world is full of lovely things to learn about, to do and to share. The creative books she makes available to people in her blog are fantastic. Elena’s catching cheerfulness and enthusiasm derives - among other things - from a daily quest for balance.
Read her advice and use her motto for your darkest moments.

1. Do not underestimate: your abilities - I have often found myself saying to myself that certain things can’t be done, that I can’t make it… but then my determination helps me try everything I want to. Sometimes it is clear that I am not perfect at everything, but I try. I try to learn new things for my graphics work, which is always changing. I try to be a good mom... this is how I discovered I had potential and interests I didn't think I had. Now, after my second pregnancy, I have even discovered I have the potential to learn to love myself, and to be able to love my family even more.

2. Do not overestimate: having to do everything on your own. When my second child was born I thought I could do everything on my own and I would never need help, but then I discovered that every now and then it is good to ask others to do things we would like to do ourselves. Sometimes we too have to concentrate on our needs and our dreams.

3. If you need help: ask for it. Use words to express what you need, even if it is just a coffee. Nobody can enter your mind and understand what you need, not even the people who know you best. Silence and unspoken words breed misunderstandings. Have no fear to express yourself and ask for what you want.  If you need your husband to do something in the house, ask - you'll discover he is not lazy, he simply doesn't know what to do.

4. You won’t manage without: a moment of me-time. In the evening I need to have half an hour entirely on my own, during which I sort out what has happened during the day, I quietly drink a cup of herbal tea and listen to the silence in the house. When everybody is sleeping I write down my thoughts or read a book and the next morning I am ready for the warmth of my family's hugs.

5. My motto for when I are desperate: obvious but true, every cloud has a silver lining.
